Eti Soda joins 'A' List for global water stewardship

Eti Soda recognised with prestigious ‘A’ score for 2021 global water stewardship

7 December 2021

Eti Soda, part of WE Soda, has been recognised for leadership in corporate sustainability, securing a place on the prestigious ‘A' List for tackling water security by CDP, the world’s leading environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions.

Eti Soda is one of only 118 high-performing companies (out of nearly 12,000 worldwide that were scored by CDP) that have shown significant demonstrable action to protect water resources, and lead on corporate environmental ambition, action and transparency.

CDP’s annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is widely recognised as the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency. In 2021, a record-breaking 13,000 companies participated. Based on a detailed evaluation methodology, CDP allocate a score of A to D- based on the comprehensiveness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks and demonstration of best practices associated with environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets. Those that don’t disclose or provided insufficient information are marked with an F.

Commenting on the CDP evaluation, Alasdair Warren, CEO of WE Soda said: “We are delighted that, yet again, CDP has recognised us as a leader in environmental stewardship. Operating responsibly in every aspect of our business is a priority and one where we will continue to strive to be the best-in-class in our industry and across all industries, worldwide”.

Paul Simpson, CEO of CDP, said: “Many congratulations to all the companies on this year’s 'A' List. Taking the lead on environmental transparency and action is one of the most important steps businesses can make, even more so in the year of COP26 and the IPCC’s Sixth Assessment Report. Our 'A' List celebrates those companies who are preparing themselves to excel in the economy of the future by taking action today.”
